The Limpopo Vocational Center is an exciting initiative focused on bringing lasting positive change to young people and communities in the Limpopo province of South Africa, particularly those in remote Northern areas. Modeled after the successful establishment of Amisewaka – Desa Les Community Center in Bali, this initiative aims to empower youth from lower-income families through access to vital vocational training. The center’s mission is to provide skills development that leads to meaningful employment opportunities within the local region and across South Africa. The initial training focus will be on hospitality and catering, with plans to expand into conservation-related fields such as tour guiding and animal husbandry, leveraging the rich wildlife and heritage of the area. A significant step has already been taken in taking over the management of a former hotel in Dongola. This existing facility will be transformed into a state-of-the-art vocational training center. Currently, the primary focus is on fundraising to facilitate the redevelopment of the site and its facilities, enabling the center to open its doors to students as soon as possible. This project represents a powerful investment in the future of young people in South Africa, offering pathways to sustainable livelihoods and contributing to the overall development of the region. Realizing our ambitious goals requires a collective effort, and we deeply value the networks and relationships that enable us to pool resources and maximize our impact.
